McLennan Softball team, 16 players earn NFCA academic honors

The McLennan Softball squad and 16 players were named to the 2022-23 Easton/NFCA Academic Awards list by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. McLennan's team GPA of 3.712 ranked sixth among the 61 junior colleges recognized.

McLennan's 16 players were among the 944 student-athletes from across the country recognized as 2022-23 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes at the junior college level for achieving a 3.5 GPA or higher. McLennan's honorees include: Celeste Aguilar, Emma Bradley-Tse, Chesnee Faile, Rose Gonzales, Kyla Heine, Madison Hornback, Sydney Kirby, Brinly Maples, Madelyn McKinnon, Jalie Neff, Erin Plunkett, Katia Reyes, Jenny Robison, Riley Rutherford, Rachel Wicker and Matalyn Wolkow. A total of 8,297 student-athletes were honored across all levels.
