Highlanders fall to Blinn

McLennan fell to Blinn Buccaneers 7-3 with Natalie Klenda taking the loss in the circle.

The Highlanders got on the board with a run in the bottom of the second. Traci Lowry singled and Kaelani Rogers walked. Roeder singled to load the bases. Skylar Scott then flew out into a double play, allowing Lowry to score.

Blinn tied the game with a run in the top of the third. Brynn Gallamore singled and advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Presli Moebes. Skylar Flanagan and Brianna Moreno both singled, bringing Gallamore around to score.

The Buccaneers took the lead with one run in the fourth. Daniela Lopez singled and was replace by pinch runner Terriana Canady. Gallamore then doubled to score Canady.

Blinn added another run in the sixth as Lexis Moss singled, advanced to third on a single by Gallamore and scored on a wild pitch.

Four more Buccaneer runs scored in the top of seventh. Moreno singled and Cadence Wiese was hit by the pitch. Annie Beckendorf reached on an error to score Moreno. Londyn Holland and Lopez were both hit by the pitch, scoring Wiese. Moss followed with a single to score Beckendorf and Holland.

The final two Highlander runs came in the bottom of the seventh. Lily King doubled and Jordan Tosch singled. King scored on a ground out by Lillian Jones, and Tosch scored on a double by Marquart.
