The Highlanders shut out the Rebels 4-0 in the opener. Olivia Garrett picked up the win in the circle, striking out 18 including the first 10 batters she faced.
McLennan scored three runs in the fourth. Traci Lowry walked and Lily King singled. Tayen Allen also singled and Lowry scored on an error. Kaelani Rogers then doubled to score King and Allen.
The final run came in the bottom of the sixth. Rogers led off with a double and was replaced by pinch runner Jordan Tosch. Tosch advanced on a wild pitch and scored on a double by Karaline Smitherman.
In game two, the Highlanders defeated the Rebels 5-3 with Natalie Klenda getting the win.
Hill began the scoring with a run in the top of the second. Kaia Cobb singled and Mia Gonzalez reached on an error. Cobb then scored on a sac fly by Kasara Brooks.
McLennan took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the second. Brooke Fechner and Rylie Marquart singled. Fechner came around to score on the throw. Tosch then singled and stole second, and Marquart scored on a sac fly by Delanie Roeder.
The Rebels tied the game with a run in the third. Erika Gomez doubled and advanced on a sac bunt by Grace Thompson before scoring in a sac fly by Halle Joy.
The Highlanders went back on top with three runs in the bottom of the third. Chayne Allen singled stole second, and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Lillian Jones walked, and Allen scored on the double steal. Jones advanced on a sac bunt by Macie Jansky, and Marquart walked. Rogers then doubled to score Marquart.
Hill rounded out the scoring with a run in the fourth. Cobb singled and Gonzalez doubled. Cobb then scored on a ground out by Leticia Nunez.
