Former Highlassie leads New Mexico State to NCAA tourney

Former McLennan women's basketball guard Shanice Davis has led the New Mexico State Aggies to the program's first outright Western Athletic Conference (WAC) regular season championship in 20 years, the first-ever WAC Tournament Championship and a berth in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. The Aggies will face Maryland at Saturday at 12:30 p.m (CST) at the XFINITY Center in College Park, Maryland. The game will air live on ESPN2.

Davis, a first-team all-conference selection and Women's Basketball Coaches' Association All-American honorable mention selection at McLennan, has started all 29 games for the Aggies this season and is averaging 14 points per game.
