The McLennan Highlassies corralled the Palo Alto Palominos this evening in Beeville. McLennan dominated Palo Alto from the opening tip and cruised to a 94-38 win.
McLennan took control early, rattling off a 17-0 run to start the game. The Highlassies held the Palominos to two free throws for over nine minutes of the game and led 26-4 at the end of the first quarter. McLennan continued to roll in the second, building a 49-8 lead at halftime. Palo Alto picked up the scoring in the second half but were no match for the Highlassies.
Elizabeth Critton led the Highlassies with 20 points. Jade Bradley and Yumon Simien scored 19 and 13, respectively.
The Highlanders will wrap up their time in Beeville against Northeast Lakeview at 9 a.m.
