Highlassies climb into NJCAA Top-10 at No. 8
The McLennan Highlassies climbed into the NJCAA Top-10 for the first time this season, coming in at No. 8 in this week's poll. McLennan jumped four spots this week after defeating second-ranked Blinn. The Buccaneers dropped to No. 5 this week after the loss.
Eastern Florida State moved into the top spot this week, followed Gulf Coast State at No. 2, Southern Idaho at No. 3 and South Georgia Tech at No. 4.
Trinity Valley, the previous No. 1, fell to No. 6 this week. Collin, a conference foe of the Highlassies, moved up two spots to No. 9. New Mexico, a regional opponent for both McLennan and Collin, fell four spots to No. 13. Clarendon, another regional opponent, is holding steady at No. 20. Grayson, also a conference opponent of McLennan and Collin, moved into the top-25 at No. 23.
McLennan returns to action Jan. 3, hosting Midland at 5:30 p.m. The next poll will be released Jan. 2.
