McLennan Highlassies steady at No. 8 in NJCAA poll
The McLennan Highlassies, with a record of 10-1, are holding steady at No. 8 in the first NJCAA Division I Rankings of 2023.
Gulf Coast State (Florida) moved up one spot to No. 1, followed by South Georgia Teach up two spots to No. 2 and Trinity Valley (Texas) up three spots to No. 3. Northwest Florida State jumped three spots to No. 4 and Blinn (Texas) is holding steady at No. 5. Eastern Florida State, the previous No. 1, fell to No. 6.
Collin, a conference foe of the Highlassies, remains at No. 9. New Mexico, a regional opponent for both McLennan and Collin, moved up two spots to No. 11. Clarendon, another regional opponent, remains at No. 20 while Grayson, also a conference opponent of McLennan and Collin, fell one spot to No. 24.
McLennan returns to action Jan. 3, hosting Midland at 5:30 p.m.
