McLennan Highlassies headed to NJCAA national tournament

The McLennan Highlassies have qualified for the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championships for the first time since 1984.

The Highlassies (27-4 overall) received one of eight at-large bids to the tournament March 22-27 at the Rip Griffin Center of Lubbock Christian University. McLennan is the No. 14 seed and will face Murray State (Oklahoma), the No. 19 seed with an overall record of 26-6, March 23 at 10 a.m.
