Highlassies' Bevley named finalist for Freshman of the Year award

McLennan women's basketball guard Saneea Bevley is one of four finalist for World Exposure Report's NJCAA Division I Freshman of the Year.
Bevley has appeared in all 29 of the Highlassies games with 27 starts. The Kansas City, Missouri native leads the team in points per game with 14.8 and a 38.7 3-point percentage. She is 105-271 from 3-point range, fourth in the nation, and hit a season-high eight from behind the arc in the 79-74 win at Blinn. Bevley was named the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Player of the Week twice this season.
