McLennan women move up to No. 8; men receiving votes

The McLennan women's basketball squad moved up to No. 8 in this week's NJCAA Division I poll.

The top three teams remained the same: Dodge City (Kansas), No. 1; Chipola (Florida), No. 2; and Northwest Florida State, No. 3. South Plains (Texas) ,oved up three spots to No. 4, and Eastern Arizona remained at No. 5.

Other Texas teams ranked include: Grayson, remains at No. 15; Trinity Valley, up one spot, No. 17; and Colin, up one spot, No. 19. New Mexico, a Region V opponent, remains at No. 10. Tyler, Clarendon and Kilgore are all receiving votes.

The McLennan men are receiving votes in this week's poll.

The top five teams remained the same: Vincennes, No. 1; Snow, No. 2; Midland (Texas), No. 3; Trinity Valley. No.4 and Northwest Florida State, No. 5.

Other Texas teams ranked include: Howard, No. 9; Odessa, No. 12; and South Plains, No. 13. New Mexico, a Region V opponent, is No. 23. Kilgore is also receiving votes.
