Highlanders finish fifth in district

The McLennan Highlanders finished in fifth place with 315-313-319 – 947 at the NJCAA Southwest District Championship in Weatherford.

Odessa was first with 291-287-302 – 880, followed by Weatherford in second with 294-290-299 – 883. New Mexico and Western Texas finished tied for third with 301-304-332 – 937 and 311-303-323 – 937, respectively. North Central was sixth with 335-324-333 – 992, and Collin rounded out the field in seventh with 346-344-353 – 1,043.

Aaliyah Hrniewiecka-Irwin led McLennan with a 74-75-74 – 223 and finish in sixth place.
