Highlanders fall to Cisco

The McLennan Highlanders fell 3-1 in today's conference match with the Cisco Wranglers at The Highlands.
 
It was back-and-forth in the opening set. The score was tied at nine when McLennan began to pull away. With Brooke Rimlinger serving, the Highlanders pushed the lead to seven, at 18-11. McLennan led by as many as 10 and held on for the 25-19 win.
 
The majority of the second set was close as well. Cicso led 11-9 and quickly pushed that lead to seven at 18-11. McLennan rallied to cut the lead back to two at 18-16 but the Wranglers held off the charge to take the set 25-20.
 
Cisco carried the momentum into the third set, taking it 25-16.
 
Set four was also a back-and-forth affair. The Wranglers led by three, 16-13, before pulling away late for the 25-19 win.
 
McLennan returns to action Wednesday, traveling to face Collin at 6 p.m. in Plano.
